Conti Tires

I put Conti Legends on my '14 Nomad and loved the tire till the centers lost tread. The slightest tar strip or groove pushed the bike around considerably. I did get over 16,000 miles out of them...can't say how they are in the rain because we get very little and if I get caught in a downpour, which is mainly what we get in southern AZ, I simply slow down. My preferred replacement would be Commander 2 or 3 depending on price. I had 2's on my '06 Nomad and loved them. I don't recall the mileage but it was substantially more than the Conti's, and 95% of my riding is two up.

My 1300 V Star uses the same size tires that were on my 05 Nomad. I now have 30,000 kms on the front Metzeler ME 888 and the rear American Elite and they will go another 5,000 kms or so. I have not ridden them in the rain.

I tried the Commander 3 Cruiser tire front and back and put 20,000 kms on them before the bike was sold but probably wont buy them again. I would not have got 30,000 kms out of them.
