As far as our congressmen and senators are concerned, it's nothing...got it on the hip... :-/

How big is 700 Billion?

If you 700 billion one dollar bills and lined them from end to end it would stretch to the moon over 31.5 times. 700,000,000,000/6 inches(length of one dollar)/5280(feet per mile)/210,000 miles to moon.

If your Nomad would travel at a speed of 10,000 mph and if you didn't have to stop for fuel, maintenance, food or rest, it would only take you 7,985.4 years to travel 700 Billion miles.

I could retire and live very well indeed on only .001% (yes, that is one thousandth of one percent) of that 700 BILLION ! ! That would only be $7 million. I'm not greedy. Heck, just give me one ten thousandth of a percent. I could probably live on $700,000 for the rest of my life.

Just think, while we're riding that nomad, it'll only take 7,985.4 years for our offspring (and theirs and theirs and...) to pay for that 700 billion.

I think it is safe to say that this country is officially bankrupt.

How big is 700 Billion?

I have started an Internet Boston Tea Party. Membership is simple. Vote no for anyone who voted YES. I am sick of this mess.

Just had the pleasure of giving some GOP phone caller a piece of my mind. Listened to a tape of Newt tell me that we need to recruit new conservatives to fight the liberals, yada yada yada. Been listening to and believing that crap for years. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. Our only chance is to start holding them all responsible. We all have partisan biases that we must shed for the good of our country. We need to vote as AMERICANS and not republicans or democrats. I already sent my republican congressman, who have voted for several times, an email to express my outrage and let him know that I don't care who is running against him I'm voting for the other guy. You all do the same. Invite your friends to the Internet Tea Party. Let's really take back America.

Let's throw the tea (repesentatives) in the harbor!
It's a flawed system and the only way to change it is to bring in new blood.

How big is 700 Billion?

I agree Idaho and Audio, I took down the names of the ones in Colorado and I'll vote against any I can, and I was content to do that.

But they should know about it and let them worry between now and then. So I'll call, they won't really know I called, only staffers will, will when it gets to be an avalanche..................the staffers will pass the information along. So I won't be content to just vote, I'll let them know I am.

Count me in for the tea party. And pass it along where you can. It would be too cool if people for the first time since the Civil War (oxymoron?) stopped being complacent and really did something. I'm in.

What happened to "no taxation without representation?" Why do we call them representatives if they aren't representing us? House of infidels!
