how many miles with a full tank

I just did a couple test while riding the James Bay road.
From full to the rim until I run out of gas, did 217.2 miles (1st time) 218.5 miles (2nd time). 33 miles once the light went on.

Had stretch of 235 miles between gas so I had spare gas with me to make it to the pump

You ran it until the bike was completely out of gas? If so that is still a good distance from completely full to completely empty.

That seems like a fair amount of miles on our tanks. I will have to give it a try one day. Thanks for letting us know. At least we have an idea of how far we can go if we have to.

What year is your Nomad and what mods have you done to the exhaust and air system

I believe he has an '08 but can't remember what he has done to his bike. I am sure he has different pipes other than the stock pipes.

I never ran it down to empty. I don't think it's good for the fuel pump. That said, I did just break 200 once, but it was with non-ethanol fuel. I've broken 300 on the new ride.

I believe the 1600 nomads have a bigger tank than the 1500 nomads, except for the 2001 or 2002 nomad which was 5.2 gallons.

I think the most I have done is 237 miles and I was on the warning light. I am installing the Dobeck TFI and Chucksters dual plate on Monday so we will see how it affects my mileage.
