Rode a bit today, after getting unstuck
Well, I was wishing I had a CT today, or maybe even an AT truck tire LOL. Yes, I was literally stuck in the mud...well a very soft yard anyway. Left a 20 foot 1-2 inch trench (mud half way up rear tire) before hitting more solid ground. Had to use some wood planks to get started moving
But now I decided to keep bike in my garage instead of off site storage, so I am sure we will now have the coldest snowiest February ever after having the balmiest January in my memory... Regardless, did a little 20 mile ride today, it was awesome!

Front wheel drive would be nice. Or traction control.

If you have a cold, snowy February, so will I and I will NOT be pleased. Don't think I won't remember it was you who jinxed the whole thing.

I'm really enjoying the odd weather around here. I think you get a bit more bad weather than I do as US24 seems to be the dividing line sometimes. First snow we got, a buddy of mine a couple miles north of Wabash (Roann area) got twice as much snow as another buddy a couple miles south of Wabash (just north of LaFountaine). At least you're below the lake effect snow line. Still, another couple months and we'll be riding regularly. It's supposed to be in the 40s here all week and through the weekend. I might even be able to crack my garage door while working on the bike this weekend.

Yeah, we fortunately miss out on most of the lake effect, there seems to be a weather line at US 6 for us usually.

We in Ireland are having a similar mild winter which allows the odd day to get out and ride. This past Christmas day the temp was 14c (57f) and Christmas day 2010 was -14c (6.8f)! This coming weekend we are due to get 3/4 days where it will get down to -4 (24f) at night due to the winds coming in from Siberia but thats nothing compared to what eastern europe is experiencing at present;

Winter riding is one of the main reasons we moved to Phoenix. Of course the lower mortgage and a heated pool don't hurt either.

I'm all for winter riding (and no winter) but I'm not sure I could handle 110* in the summer. I know. It's a dry heat. It's still enough to cook an egg.

Just look what the heat did to Scott? He used to be tall slender and handsome!

Once and a while 115*+. Like Scott said, "you don't have to shovel sunshine." I used to pay for heat all winter (and sometimes summer too). Now I pay for A/C. Meanwhile I can still head out early on summer mornings to get to cooler elevations nearby (+/- 2 hours). Another big reason for our move was our mortgage went from over $1300.00/month to only $358.00. Smaller property, but now we can afford my retirement/extra riding time.
