Kawasaki Nomad Rear Floorboard Relocation Kits
David Parsons emailed me with this and I thought I'd post in case anyone was interested. -Trip
Hi! My name is David J. Parsons “NSASarge” VROC 16025. I have designed a rear floorboard relocation bracket that extends the passenger floorboard by about 2.25-inches and puts it at a natural angle so your passenger has something to push against with their feet. I had 25 of these sets made last year and everyone was very pleased with them. This year they are chromed! International orders are not a problem as far as customs goes. Some kits went to Sweden, Australia, Germany, Canada and the USA. You can see the kits here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= John “GADGET” Lawrence says it is awesome. He has added it to his pages and did a great job. If you need a SHORT KIT, it’s located here: http://www.gadgetjq.com/1600_floorboardmod.htm Gadget's page is located at: http://www.gadgetjq.com/gadgetsfixitpage.htm Fitting INFO: If you have a 2005 - Present 1600 Nomad, NO PROBLEM! According to fellow VROCer, Nelson Shook VROC 19390 http://www.vroc.org/view_profile.php?user_id=22891 , they fit his 2001 Nomad with Roadhouse aftermarket exhaust. Nelson also stated that they should fit 1999 - 2004 Nomad 1500's because there were no significant changes during those years. However, some aftermarket pipes may interfere with the kit. Please note that I do not accept returns on this kit. You’ll just have to sell it to another VROC member. I’m just one guy that had a need for this kit, designed it and had a local machine shop make them for me. The process of installing these kits mares the surface of the bracket at the attachment points. No one would want it in that condition. I'm sure you understand that. So, to sum it up, the kit SHOULD fit 1999 - 2008 Nomads. Ride Safe! NSASarge VROC 16025 ROK, NRA Instructor, Patriot Guard Rider US Army M.I., Retired Black & Silver '05 1600 Nomad Fi Never mind Area51. Worry about the other 50, or more!

Kawasaki Nomad Rear Floorboard Relocation Kits
I had a set of these from Dave's very first run of these (the extended ones, polished ). The wife really loves them (she's long legged ). Now I have a set that DKdixie and I traded around for (Chromed). The wife still loves them, and the friend I gave my old ones to, His wife loves them too. Both our bikes have the V&H Baggers, and they fit "No Problem"
If your riding partner is long legged, they will benefit from these. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in!

Bought mine a while back. Wife appreciates being able to "push back" thanks to the new angle of the passenger foot rests.

VulcanE, what do you mean by "long legged"? My wife complains about comfort but she is not very tall. I was thinking of trying these out for the angle that they provide.

OP, my wife isn't tall either but wanted the angle. So I designed and made these out of 1/2" aluminum. They work great. They pivot on the top bolt so the length is the same just pivoted up.

The mod Bobzinger was talking about would probably be a good one for your wife. http://www.gadgetjq.com/1600_floorboardmod.htm

Well my wife isn't that much shorter than 5'10" (I don't think). Perhaps I will give those a try.

As VulcanE mentioned, Cliff and I worked out a deal for the set that I had. My wife, who is approx 5-3 didn't find them of any great value. But the biggest reason I traded was I'm only 5-7 and they were always in my way pushing the bike around. So, when Kay and I rode two-up they were up and down, up and down.....got to be a pain.
Well made product and I certainly could see the benefit if you and your passenger are long-legged.
