Electric car charging station

Just went out to dinner with my wife. We went to the 99 Restaurant in Weymouth, MA. They have an electric car charging station in their parking lot. First time I've seen one. I takes credit cards but doesn't say how much it cost.

Have seen quite a few of them around here. You will not even need a credit card once the Smart Grid is fully operational. The electricity to charge your car will be automatically routed to your home electric bill. It could be at a Public charger or your buddies garage no matter where you plug it in.

And in other news, Tesla can't sell cars in AZ, UT, TX and a number of other states due to laws that require dealerships can't be owned by manufacturers. Tesla's business model is direct 'no middleman' sales.

They are all over the place here, public parking, restaurants, government buildings, malls. I read that we have a major part of the electric car market here. These cars even have designated licence plates for parking. Electricity is cheap here by many standards, if they can only improve the autonomie of these cars.

In reality there are only 24 States that Tesla can sell cars in. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/06/03/t...ant-sell-cars/

What's odd it that it's the other manufacturers and not the dealers that are lobbying against changing the Laws. You might wonder how these Laws could come to be. The answer although the action is no longer relevant is here: http://www.engadget.com/2014/07/17/t...tors-us-sales/
