Bud's jack adapter
Inlaws bought me an early birthday present ( bike jack ) and family bought me an early father's day present ( Bud's jack adapter ). Bud's adapter arrived last week and was painted a nice crimson colour. Tried it out and it worked just great. Strapped the bike down for extra security and lifted her up. Decided with the bike in the air to double check the steering bearings torque and found the swing of the handle bars a bit too loose for my liking. So, I took the front end apart and removed the top tree and tightened up the top nut until I had slight pre load on the bearings and the forks would move nice but stay in position rather than fall off to the locks ( my guess would be roughly 25ft lbs ). Reassembled everything, shot some more grease in the zerk fitting and took her for a ride. Sooooooo nice.
Thanks again Bud. Voyager.

Sounds like a win win situation for you. Got some nice gifts and was able to use it and work on your bike.

You are very welcome. It always makes me happy to find a satisfied customer. This really is the best way to lift the Nomad with a standard floor jack.
Thanks for the post!!

I too have the adapter. Have yet to use it. I promised Idaho that I would give my opinion when I did use it. And I will. Just seems to me that my opinion will be redundant to all the others that have been posted!

Man, I'll be lucky if I get a Guardian Bell for fathers day
I use my Idaho jack adapter just about every time I ride! Course if I had more room in my garage I wouldn't need the jack and adapter to spin the bike around to get back out the door ::)

Bud's jack adapter
Wow, Rick. That is amazing. Just don't leave it attached unless you have it bolted on solidly.

::) Hmmmm.... How bout an option of some titanium jack adapters? That way I can bolt it on and when I ride it will make a lot or real cool sparks

I've heard Idaho's jack adapters are handcrafted by the Amish. The craftsmanship is outstanding.

Do you have any pictures of them? I have an old MC jack, and it barely clears underneath the Nomad. I would love to see how they work. Thanks.
