Victoria BC to Hamilton, Ontario
Hello All,
I am in need of your help. I am planning a ride from BC to Ontario in the summer of 2018. I am looking for help planning the routes that have great scenery, twisty roads and great attractions to look at during the ride. The plan is to start in Calgary (fly/truck the bike here), ride to Victoria (through the Rockies), then ride back to Hamilton thru the states. Any input would be great. Also, if there is anyone that is interested in tagging along with me during this ride, is also welcome to do that. This is VERY preliminary and I am just starting to plan this. Thanks you.

The ferry to Victoria is at Tsawwassen.
http://www.bcferries.com/schedules/m...sw-current.php We went to Victoria in May. The ferry docks in Swartz Bay so you have about a 45 minute drive to Victoria from Swartz Bay. Harrison Hot Springs on the BC mainland is a nice place and the Sea To Sky Highway from Whistler to Vancouver is also very nice. Check out the cable car ride in Squamish which is south of Whistler. https://www.seatoskygondola.com/ I can highly recommend that. There is a restaurant at the top of the cable car ride and the views are awesome. As you reach Ontario I presume you will be coming through Thunder Bay and Sault Ste Marie ? The ride from Sault Ste Marie to Sudbury and then south from Sudbury is really nice. If you need a place to stay near Parry Sound I can recommend a place. The 3 hour boat cruise in Parry Sound is a nice break from riding. I can also give you the address of a place in Sault Ste Marie for an overnight stay. Its an old fashioned place but clean and cheap. |

These guys on Youtube put out some good touring videos.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3G...oH-MItArpOij7Q I think they are from Calgary. If you watch their playlist you should see some hints and tips of riding in that area of Canada.
