mini rally date (this pole will end on 1/10/09

We need to get the date confirmed so everyone can start planning for it I didn't put down the last weekend of May as I thought it was to close to the National Rally.

I certainly don't want to mess anything up......but since we've got a lot of things going in May and June, how about we get together in April?

Some members had told me that it was still a little cold in April that was why I picked May but I will go with what every the majority would like.

What about June ?

June is the National Rally date..I posted on the other mini-rally thread about the VROC rally going on in ES the middle of May..It may be a good time to get together with some of them that arent members here also, if that is a fesible time for most....I can get away almost anytime, so just let us know what happens.

Just a tad bit more info....The Branson, Missouri Bike Rally is May 14-17 and usually brings alot of riders to the area. Branson, for those who have never been, is an excellent tourist attraction, and has alot of stuff to do. I live a short ride from Branson and go down many,many times a year just to catch a show,fun,etc.. If the mini-rally is this same weekend, along with the VROC rally I spoke about, then there will be riders all over. Branson is a fun ride, with curvy, winding roads from ES to Branson..Just food for thought.

After several weeks, the most popular rally date only has four (4) votes? Where's the enthusiasm?

I had a great time on Nightmare's Talimena ride. I even went back a few weeks later to show the wife, who couldn't go the first time. I am sure we will try to do more rides, if welcome, and we get the chance.

As much as we would love to be in the area when the rest of the folk are there, and meet some great people, our circumstances have us locked into the end of May. My Kelli is in school until the third week of May and we'll be attending our nuptuals (well, I'm pretty sure she'll be there) on the 23rd.

I'm writing this not to persuade anyone about meeting, but just offering a possible invitation. We are taking the week off after that weekend and will most likely be heading toward ES. Been there once before, and our only regret was that we didn't have more time. So, if anyone just happens to be in the area around that time, let us know. Perhaps......a meet and ride can be arranged?

Anyway, that's our situation. Ya'll have fun, whatever you come up with. It is a fine area to explore.

Not sure I can make it yet but depends on where it is as to how long I need to get off to do it.

Since our June vacation plans are shot we will see if Liz and I can make the May event. A lady that works with Liz is expecting and due the middle of June and the boss has said no one could take off that month. I voted for the 8 9and 10 but we could make most any date in May.
