I swapped it for the Dobeck TFI when Mac and I had the engine out to reset the valve timing, mainly because Mac likes that the Dobeck can be tuned at idle and the Cobra needs to have the revs bumped in order to tune it. We talked about it a bit when he was down here helping me.

The Cobra actually performed very well for me, including in those real tight, slow, uphill hairpin turns climbing Pikes Peak last year where a hesitation would have been a disaster. Just wanted to try the other one.

Having now tried both, I don't really see much of a difference once they're dialed in, although it does seem that the Dobeck TFI is a bit easier to tune. Both give me about the same performance and the same mileage (38 -40), averaged over all driving conditions, with a range of probably 36 - 43.
