Thank you!
Last November when Trip asked me my thoughts and feelings about VBA, I wasn't quite sure what his reasoning was, but I expressed my love for the motorcycle industry and in particular for Kawasaki and the friendships I’ve developed during my time with VBA.
When Trip explained his plans to step down as President and expressed his desire to have me as his successor, I was as surprised as many of you and humbled at the same time. After much consideration, I’m honored to accept this appointment as the President of VBA and am very excited about what its future holds for all of us. I think VBA will continue to get better and better on account of its excellent membership and momentum. There will be several changes over the next 6 months and I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and cooperation. Please feel free to message me with your suggestions and hopes for VBA. There will be a learning curve involved in this change and I hope to be approachable during that time. Trip has started something truly remarkable with this group and will always be known as the Founder. Thanks, Trip, for all your hard work over the past few years. And thanks to all of the members for your messages, phones calls and kind support.

Congratulations again Jared. You were a fitting choice to follow Trip as President.

Jared...the kind words are well deserved. After our chat today, I was even more convinced Trip made the right decision. Good luck with things as they move forward...you have a great group here and it can only get better!

Suggestions?
El President picks up the bar tab for all the regional leaders. Sorry, couldn't help myself Jared. Well, we go from a well aged President (Trip) to one of the younger members for leadership. Sometimes youth can be invigorating to an organization with new and fresh ideas. I am sure that you will do well Jared and look forward to the next step in VBA. Just make sure you don't do anything that will make me call your mother.

Very wise decision in my mind. While I do not know but one member personally I feel a sort of kinship with everyone here and I'm sure you will keep the spirit alive.
Now get ready for all the BS. You know we don't take to change and meddling in our affairs very kindly. The best decision you can make will be to hold the 2015 National Rally in Hawaii. |
