New too site rear tire question
I have enjoyed reading the threads so I signed up. I have a 2005 Nomad and am ready for a rear tire at 7K miles. I'm thinking of going with the Metzler 880 bias tire that is 180/60/16 it would be a little shorter but should wear longer. Will it fit? Thanks. Tom I believe this is a Goldwing tire.

I didn't see anyone answer the question about the tire hitting the fender when you hit a bump. Will this happen?

You would think a tire would last more than 7k. I ran mine for about 15k untill it was replaced, however the Metzeler is a good choice.

That way we can contact Metzler for a promotional opportunity. And yes, I'm trying to drive you even more insane. muahahahaha

Here's a link to a Nomad Tire chart that shows many models of tires and their sizes.
http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/4G87R6S...e%20Matrix.pdf My Dunlop Elite III is 26.06" diameter and the Metzler 180/60-16 is 24.76" diameter which is smaller than the stock Bridgestone at 25.30".

On my 05' Nomad I went with..
150/80-16 M/C 71H Bias front 180/70 R 16 M/C 77H Radial rear Meztler marathon 880 No clearance problems and handle much better than the factory Bridgestones. |
