Port Dover Ride

I left yesterday morning to go down to Port Dover, I arrived at 9;30am and there where already a few thousand bikes gathered parking along the streets and lawns. There where people there from all over Canada and the US, and the Guiness record book people were counting the bikes to see if it could be the largest one day gathering of motorcycles in one place. I havn't heard the final count yet but last year it was 150,000 bikes that showed up. I seen a few Nomads, and ran into Chuckster and Larry from here. Both very nice interesting guys to chat with. There was a wedding also with a guy from Delphi forums who was the groom. It was a great day overall and the rain held off, I'll post a few pics shortly.

150,000 bikes!! Wow, that's a lot of noise. Never heard of this get together. Just where is Dover anyway? Do we need passports now to get back and forth across the border?

Its a huge event here, getting bigger each year.
Dover is basically on the Canadian side of Lake Erie across the lake from Erie Pa. not to far from Buffalo. Crossing the border is a peice of cake, usually only 2pcs of ID required, and takes a couple minutes. I don't think passports are mandatory yet, they have been talking about it, but thats far as its gone so far.
