Seafoam
Is the seamfoam good to use in a 1500 carbed? If so what is the proper way to use it? I noticed now that we are in cold weather and I'm not riding as much, mine is harder to crank after it sits a week or two. I thought about adding it to see if it helps. I have about 60,000 on it and never had to do anything to the engine. ???
Thanks, Zoom45

Just follow the directions on the bottle. Been awhile since I've had to use it (Texas, year-long riding and all that. ;)). Fill the tank, leave a little room for the dose, crank it up and let it run for 5 minutes or so and you're done.
I've dropped a 1/2 bottle in a 2.9 gal tank before, no ill effects.

SEAFOAM has many threads on here.. try the search for all the info you want :) ,, BUT SEAFOAM is GOOD STUFF,, Carb or injectors,, acts as a stabilizer as well...... Directions on can says 1oz Seafoam Per Gal..alot use it every other tankful and for storage in the winter.. If you go to their site Tons of Q&A posted to answer any question you have per their Techs,,,, Seafoam is Petroleum Based, You can also use it engine oil as a booster, The Tech say you can use it till next xhange,, Most only use it for 2/300 miles before oil change, Help remove sludge in the oil sump. and with more gas being 10% Corn I think Seafoam Marine grade halps with the peoblems that the corn does in the fuel system,,,,,not sure if reg seafoam is the same or not,,,,,Ive been using it for 3 years,,,,,,,,Rich

I see the name Seafoam, and I resist an urge to bow down in worship.
Over the years, I think Seafoam has been credited with making all combustion engines run better, increasing mph, curing gout, stripping rust, contributing to global warming or cooling (Whichever is best at the time), relieving constipation, curing hangovers, loosening bolts, and instituting world peace. btw-- I got a shot glass and every other week or so would dump three ounces into the Classic's full tank.

....hey Rich
I have it on good authority that if you rub seafoam on replacement joints, the healing process is much quicker! But really, hope the recovery goes good, and quick!!

Seafoam is also a great dessert topping!
No! It's a floorwax! (from an old SNL skit)

When I bought my 04 vulcan 750 I'd hit the throttle and the idle would hang high revs and not come back down, my crappy local kaw dealer wanted 250 "just to check" carbs out. Luckly a local vn750.com er filled me in on seafoam. put in a healthy dose every tank full for a can and a half.. problem solved.. I put some in every couple tanks now.
