Two great Vietnam Sites
http://virtualwall.org
http://thevirtualwall.org Both of these sites have memoriams to people that were killed while serving in Vietnam. I especially like virtualwall.org of the two. Check them out, I think you will enjoy and be saddened by a lot of the writeups about these young men and women that lost their lives so we can ride and be free.

Did anyone take the time to look at these great sites. If you were in Vietnam or remember Vietnam these are sites you need to look at. Thought you guys might enjoy seeing them. Might even see someone's name that you may have known.

Doc, I missed Vietnam myself. Often wonder what would have happened had I got drafted rather than joining the Navy. I served in the Navy during Vietnam, July 1967 until April 1971. Joined the Army February 1979 and retired May 31, 1995. They are great sites with tributes to the men and women that died in Vietnam.

Two great Vietnam Sites
I was born in 1960 by my family and I watched TV news every night at 6:00 PM. I remember Harry Reasoner (I think it was him) saying every night the count of servicemen killed or missing. As a young person, it really grasped me and the memory still does today. At 9,10 or 11 years old, the phrase 'missing' was frightening.
Thanks to ALL who served and they are always in my mind.

I didn't serve in Vietnam because at that time they didn't send the only 2 adult males in the family to a war zone so they sent me to Okinawa to wait for my brothers tour to end, he pulled 3 tours so I was out of the army before he left Vietnam. He died several years ago from cancer he picked up while he was there I sure miss him :'(

You are so right landman. I left there in 68 and it seems like yesterday very clearly.

I was in the last draft and my number was 64 so I should've been called, but I wasn't. The all volunteer was instituted shortly thereafter so I guess it wasn't meant to be. I will definitely check out the sites though. Thanks.

Thanks for the sites. I will take a look at them when I get a chance. I have an uncle who served in Vietnam. I like to talk to him about his experiences whenever I can.
