Bike Nite Gone Bad

Just got home from local bike nite. One of our friends was leaving early and he and his wife were on their Gold Wing they got about fifty yards from the restaurant when evidently he lost control and went across the center line into a SUV. Both he and his wife were taken to the hospital. Does'nt appear to be life threatning but the mood went down hill quick. Please keep them in your prayers, they are in their early 60's. Always ride like you will be next.

Wow, that's horrible! I hope they will be okay. Lost control? Maybe he had some medical issue or something?

Bike Nite Gone Bad

Have seen quite a few accidents at bike nights, most occuring when someone was trying to "show off" during departure. I sure that wasn't the case with a couple of 60 year olds on a Goldwing. However, when trying to impress your peers, many people attempt foolish things.

That hits close to home ( agewise). Hope they make a speedy and complete recovery. Just glad they are alive. 50 year old biker was killed near Baton Rouge on Wednesday when a car pulled out in front of him from a side street. It all can happen so quick, and when you least expect it.

Talked to a friend who went to see them this morning, he has fractures in the neck and ankle, she has fractured pelvis. It will be some time before they are back on a bike.

They will be hurting for a while. Hope they are feeling better and don't run into any complications.
