One thing to bring plenty of
I just finished riding about 700 mile this weekend in south FL and the keys.
I will tel you this, if you bring just one bottle of sunscreen you will be buying more. I was putting it on every hour to hour and a half and still got burned. Not just burned but BURNED. Bring lots if you go on this ride, April won't be much different than July. It was only in the mid eighties today but BRIGHT. And I used to live down here. Lots of nice scenery, but long straight flat roads. If you're going to use the turnpike, most of the the exits are sunpass only. They are automating, making drivers buy the prepaid transponders. I bought one for $25, then had to activate it online with a credit card. Just something to think about. You can order them online at: https://www.sunpass.com/index MT

How did you mount the transponder? Or did you just grab it from a pouch and wave as you went through? They don't do to well through windscreens is why i ask.

Mine stuck to the windshield just fine.
I don't think there were any issues. MT

Guess I should be using sunscreen here in North Alabama. I don't but really should. My arms are really getting dark. I haven't burned in a while.

On the toll roads here my tour pak hid the plate, so you never got billed, bikes don't need a transponder since its hard to mount on some bikes.

The Dade County toll plazas do Sunpass or Toll by Plate (where a camera takes a picture of your license plate and bills the registered owner by mail later) but no attendants or cash lanes. I do not see much chance of those overhead cameras having a picture of my plate under the trunk. If you are not a regular rider in Florida the $25 Sunpass is not worth getting - the total tolls back and forth to the Keys is much less than $25. I did use sunscreen once or twice a day without being burned - but I suspect if I didn't use it I would have been lobsterized.
