Yes it is. I put one in my bike and it makes quite a bit of difference.

I replaced my stock headlight bulb with the Kury Zeon blue (same wattage). visibility was better. The high beam went out after about a year and I got the silver star ultra (same wattage) and it is a whole lot brighter/whiter. Been running it about 2 years now.

WalMart has a H4 Silverstar for 19 bucks and the bulb has the faintest of blue tint. My wagner off road 80/100 went out last week (it lasted almost 2 years) and I'm thinking of trying this silverstar bulb with the tint. Is this the same bulb as the one's all of you have used and liked?

The 80/100 was a flamethrower on high but I almost never used it on high.

I like to see where I'm going so don't point that @&%^# thing at me!

There is sometimes too much of a good thing.

any of you guys put in higher watt H4 and start blowing fuses(ones with light bars)?? Just pondering when my stock bulb does burn out(3 yrs now) should I go with just a stock 55W H4 or higher. Dont want to blow fuses.

Gadgets page doesn't recommend running a higher wattage headlight bulb with a light bar doc

If you wire your driving lights on a separate circuit with a relay, you won't have this problem.

I have the silverstar and really like it....the whiter light makes visibility so much better..............especially for those of us on the back side of 40 :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/

They do not last quite as long...but worth it for more visibility in my book.

How would you know fair weather boy? I heard you were afraid of the dark so you only ride during the day.

I installed the Napa bulb from Gadgets tip above. 6 bucks. works great for me. You're using the stock Nomad high beam wattage on low beam and an obvious increase in high beam wattage. I like the light and the price!

Got the silverstar and installed it this afternoon. I'll be riding home tonight to see how it works. It does have the bright slightly bluish white look to it so we'll see in about an hour.

Kenbob Thanks for posting that, I'd missed it. I've had three of the Silverstar bulbs and liked the output but two of them went out within 2000 miles. I'll give the Wagner bulb a try.
