If chrome wheels are your thing this looks like a "Really" good deal.

I think they would look really good on most Nomads. Im sure that price is for one wheel and not the pair.

1600 Nomad Chrome Wheels

The other night I was with a group of riders enjoying a fine meal. Across the table from me was an experienced motorcycle mechanic. Not a wet-behind-the-ears, not-shaving-yet kid fresh out of MMI, but a partner in a top-notch independent motorcycle shop.

We were discussing chrome plating vs powder coating. He said that good chrome shops are getting hard to find. He also mentioned that most reputable platers won't chrome aluminum motorcycle wheels anymore because the solution they use to etch the aluminum surface before plating eats the area where the wheel bearings fit and enlarges them so the bearings may come loose.

Just reporting what he told me.

Those look pretty cool!! I'd definitely consider them if they were in my area.

Nice looking wheels but you know I am very pleased with my wheels just as they are. After all the only thing they do is to roll you down the highway. Of course they stop you when you need to stop.

I just looked on ebay and the cheapest stock wheel is $150 each. You'd only be spending about $50 after you sold yours...
