Rooms At Base Motel for National Rally in June

I just made my reservations. at the Base Motel in Maggie valley and the lady said the only rooms she had left was 1 non smoking King suite and 13 smoking rooms so if you aint made them there reservations you better get cracking

The hotel has 99 rooms, some people are staying at other motels and some are camping.
This is going to be a really great time. Can hardly wait.

I knew they had been getting a lot this past week...we have obviously blown through our original block and she is honoring the price for the rest.

Gonna be a bunch of Nomads and a bunch of fun.

I don't know what she is honoring because there web site said that the rate for a double was $69.34 and they charged me $69.00 but then $.34 X 5 nights = $1.70 I guess that is a good price.

The Internet price showed 59 for a double when I looked at it before I made mine and when I ask her about that she said the June rate was 81

Jim, 34 cents is 34 cents. Room rates are more expesive in the summer months. So $69 is probably a good deal.

Just booked, had to take a smoking room. The lady I talked to(Linda) did tell me that the motel across the street from them would offer the same rate for any overflow, but they are not open at the moment.

I called and the Lady at the Maggie Valley Hotel said she only had several rooms available and they were all smoking rooms. She said no way to know how bad the smoke smell might be. So I called the Valley Inn and got a King room for the same price as the Base Hotel. It's just about 175 Yds. down from the Valley Inn (Base Hotel) on the same side of Soco Road and there is a sidewalk all the way between the 2 motels. The Valley Inn is on Jonathan's Creek and has a Creekside view from the rooms. They have in room coffee, microwave, refrigerator, cable. You can try them and see if they have any more rooms. Ask for Andy Taylor at 800-948-6880. www.thevalleyinn.com Good Luck
