Rampaging Deer
As this local news article shows, deer are not only a menace on our highways. This lady and her kids are very fortunate.

Those people are lucky. A terrified, 200 pound buck looking for a way out is a very dangerous animal.

I have seen on television news that this happens a lot. Don't understand why the deer do it but they do.

Maybe I need to use a set of sliding glass doors as a decoy next time I go deer hunting.... I know if I ever decide to go Moose hunting Mac's gonna be out about 50yards acting as a decoy.

Probably ten yrs ago a person in my neighborhood had a buck go through the front plate glass window as well. It must be more common than I thought.
I've also seen deer run into the side of a pickup truck that was standing completely still during the rut. Harmless little BAMBI. My A##. |

One crashed through the grocery store window here years ago and made a mess of the store as well.

This same thing happened to several houses in a relatively new subdivision here in Baton Rouge about 20 years ago. They tore up at least four houses.

Apparently this is very common... it has happened where we live also on several different occasions through the years.
Maybe we should "out-law" glass??? Or maybe tax it more!! No... we just need to allow more deer to be shot... at least around here where I live. There are just too many deer around here. People are getting hurt and property is getting damaged constantly.

Well, when I really think about it, Mitch, I guess our city has expanded into their " homes " so to speak. All of the areas south and southeast of Baton Rouge were woods and fertile hunting grounds long before we were born. Guess these animals are getting squeezed by urban sprawl.
