KawaNOW National at Maggie Valley is history...

If you didn't get to attend the National Rally this week in Maggie Valley, NC, you missed a great rally. Over 140 attended the rally with somewhere around 75-80 Nomads in attendance.

After looking at some stats, it looks like the Maggie Valley rally had double the attendance and double the number of Nomads than the 2009 Custer Rally.

Pictures are forthcoming and I will do a trip report in the coming weeks and post it to my website... also, I will be producing a video much like the one I did for the 2009 Rally. That should be ready in a month or so.

Everyone that attended the rally reports that they had a lot of fun and got some good riding in. My thanks to Todd Frazier and Amy Neal for planning and executing the rally.

As a sidenote, I'd like to thank Dave "Bisquits n gravy" Mills and the NorthCentral Region group for presenting me with a Nomad Logo Plaque at the Finale Dinner, thursday night. I feel proud to have received this and I thank you for all your hard work in making KawaNOW as successful as it is.

I'm already looking forward to the KawaNOW National in 2013!!!

Brad, you get your wish. TomK volunteered the West coast to host the 2013 National when he walked off with the Chuck Burt Traveler Award. There were at least a hundred witnesses...

From all the write ups and pictures I know everyone had a great time. Just wish it had worked out so I could have attended.

The ride to the Rally and everything at the Rally was great.
The ride home, not so much. ::)

We also had a great time, I think everyone did. Even the trip down and home in the truck was good. Especially on the warm days, the A/C was really nice to have.

Yeah... well? Everyone could have used bribery if they wanted... we just decided to do it. ;)

The National Rally will be in the flat-lands... 11 curves every 318 miles! Corn and soybean fields as far as the eye can see!!

No one will get lost... since every road meets at 90 degrees and heads either north/south or east/west!

The riding doesn't get any better than the plains region. Hope you are all excited!

That is some twisty roads there Greg. Try Kansas. 1 curve every 200 miles. Well, could include eastern Colorado as well. ::)
