Took the Little Lady on Her 1st Ride Yesterday
She only rode once on the C50 so I bought a bigger bike so she'd be more comfortable. I figured I'd wait until I got used to the weight of the Nomad before perching her on the throne. We started out on the curvy back roads that are unavoidable leaving home. I could feel her fighting the leans in the turns. I told her to lean with me and she is too big to fight me as it throws the bike off. We headed out to 4 lane roads and she was more comfortable. We were about 15 miles away and I asked her where she wanted to go. She said home. So I hit the cloverleaf and headed back. A Goldwing passed us and the little girl on the back was free hand looking around and smiling. In the meantime Claudia is holding on to the handrails with a deathgrip. We get home and although she said she was starting to relax at the end she told me in the beginning she wanted to throwup. Kind of like riding the whip at an amusement park I guess. So now I need to get her a helmet with a built in barf bag.
BTW -Little Lady is translated like if we were on a seesaw, I'd probably be the one saying let me down let me down

She'll get used to it the more she rides. You do feel more on a perch on the Nomad than on ghe goldwing. I took my sister-n-law for a ride and when I was reveing the engine at a red light she spoke up and said that made her nervous...okay.....and it's stock pipes. ::)

Beezer, my "little lady" was the same way at first. It takes time, short rides and a lot of positive talk on your side.

Good point Dago Dog, takes time. My wife doesn't really like bikes but she rides the Nomad and is starting to relax some.

Just don't pretend like you're on one of those race tracks when she's with you. They don't appreciate those kinds of twisties as much as we do.
