Best motorcycle I have ever owned...
is my Nomad! It's been sitting since November. Nice warm day in Colorado Springs today and I have the rare Saturday off, so I change the oil and filter. Pulled out the choke and hit the starter and it roared to life! After sitting for four months. Same story every spring. Chiseled the remaining snow and ice out from in front of the shed and headed out for the first ride of the season. Bike is running like a champ! Had a great ride!
I really like this bike! Be safe everyone.

Glad you could get out. I remember the long days of winter. I put a couple hundred miles on yesterday. On the way home I got caught in the Texas Hill Country sleet/rain. It was worth it!

Hey Audio, right there with you. Swept off the drive way and fired up the bike. Ran like a swiss watch so I decided to take her out for an hour or so. Stayed on the main roads to avoid the gravel but had a super ride just the same. Your right about these bikes though, best one I've ever owned as well.

I got my Nomad out today and rode it for the first time since early December. The bike ran perfectly and reminded me how much I enjoy riding. Hopefully the weather will continue to improve and we can all get more saddle time.

Daryl,
Fired the bike up for the first time since October. Have been waiting for the roads to completely dry since October (I live on 1 1/2 miles of gravel roads). Even if it was for 10 miles it was great. Even tried out the new jacket. Let me say, I was nice and comfy and close to sweating. Waterman

We know what you mean- both Nomads have sat since the middle of October and both fired up yesterday with the first push of the starter.

Hey Daryl, it does feel good after a long winter especially when the bike cooperates and fires up. These are great bikes. We have had a mild winter here in Idaho and I've been able to get my bike out once or twice every month for a short ride. It always fires right up with no problem. I love mine too.

Your bike is an 99 if I remember correctly and I'm sure it has it's fair amount of miles. Nice to here that it's still running great!
