Summer is OVER

:-/ It's gettin' cold enough in the mornings that I can wear my leathers to work to keep from freezing. Trees are already turning colors on the mountain behind the house. And the surest sign that summer is over, the new Metzler tire on the rear wheel of my Nomad is worn out. One summer and it is gone.

Bummer about the tire. Guess you'll be spending more time hunting for a little while now!

Just replace that back tire with a snowshoe for the winter. ;)

Summer is OVER

Summer isn't finished up yet down here. High was 97 yesterday afternoon and it didn't get below 80 last night. It will be another 2 months before what leaves are left from Gustav start turning and falling. Best riding times are just starting over here.....

48 here when I left. So far just hat, gloves, and jacket. Not full leathers yet but it wont be long. I am hoping I can ride until deer season like I did 3 years ago but I don't know.

44 this morning and 39 last night. I'm afraid the season is going to be short this year. We are already looking at highs in the 60's........winter depresses me so much.

The season is getting short up here too. Our lows are getting into the 30s, and highs are getting up into the 60s. Sounds like we're going to be in the 70s this week, so I hope it stays for a long time! If I can still ride through October, I consider it good. I parked my VTX for the winter last year on November 7.
