Do you ride or put it away for the winter?

The first year I got my Nomad I put fuel stabilizer in it, then ended up riding it till that gas was out. Did it again over and over. Every other year I've known that once the snow melts off the road, I'm going for a ride, and stopped using fuel stabilizers.

In the past 8 years, living in Denver and Salt Lake, I don't think I've gone more than 2-3 weeks without a ride. I probably don't ride much below about 15 degrees. It's not a set thing, it just doesn't talk to me much when it's that cold.

What about yourself?

Here in the Dallas we don't get much, if any, snow, but we do get ice and that's where I draw the line.

You and Me Doc... I'm outside of Houston...so if it's not slicker than owl S*%T... I'm ridding! Hell.. my other choice is a Ford 250 Diesel...and since the oil companies seem fit to charge more for diesel than premium gas, and I ride about 70miles a day round trip, it's a LOT cheaper (not to mention heaps more fun) to ride the NAD!!

Picked my Nomad upon the 27th Nov it rained for 6 days solid :'( but as soon as the roads dried out i was out cruising . Only had 3 short trips up to now due to the fact the temp has dropped to around 0 degree C, but still enjoyed the ride roll on the spring.

Isn't that why you have the blade on your truck......to get your Nomad out?

Yeah dank, that would work. I could plow and get it to the road. Unfortunatly, the road is covered with hard pack snow and ice. Not to mention the salt that eats up our cars and trucks up here. :)
But then again this is where I have lived for the past 62 years. You would think I would be used to it by now

You missed one. I ride if there's no chance of Black Ice or a snow storm bad enough to make the roads slick. Don't matter how cold it is, only the condition of the road.
Ride safe,
Dano

If I didn't hide it four or five months I would be putting 15,000 miles on it every year. I put 9 to 10k on it in eight months anyway and never get much more than 100 miles from home.
