Hello from Australia
Hi one and all.
Just joined your site and am happy to see fellow Nomad fanatics. I own a 1998 Nomad and am enjoying the bike. My dream (two years aways) is to ride through the South of the US. Starting at West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky on a NOMAD. Look forward to contribting to this forum as well. I have already debaffled my bike and am VERY pleased with the result. I Am running Harley Highway pegs but have a question ..... Has anybody fitted forward controls on a 1998 NOMAD and retained the stock crash bars ???? Regards Darren AUSTRALIA Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Hello from Australia
Welcome from Ohio, USA. Pretty G/G Nomad you got! 1999 was the first year for Nomads in the US. Your going to want to check and replace the POG (Plastic Oil Gear) on your bike. Do some research if your unsure what I'm refering to. Lots of great info here, welcome aboard.

Mine is a 1998 and apart from some pollution differences is similar to the US 1999 version. I was really surprised at how comfortable the ride is. I have also riden some later model Nomads and the ride is exceptional. Metric cruisers are big in Australia as Harleys are very expensive both new and used. I also rode a Road King (similar year & twice the price) but I still loved the Nomad. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
