removing baffles on 05 Nomad
Hey everyone. Im wanting to remove the baffles on my 05 Nomad. I see some videos on youtube for the 07. Does anybody know if the process is the same, the video mentions cutting the weld and the shape of the exhaust will not allow cutting the weld only cutting the metal in the pipe. Will this work or am I gonna be left with a crap mess on my exhaust? Matt

Here's how it's done: http://www.vulcanbagger.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=4717
There is no difference in exhaust between 2005-2008. The key is following these instructions closely. They are time-tested and proven to work.

removing baffles on 05 Nomad
Hey Matt,
My name is Matt, also. I have an '05 Nomad and pulled out the baffles last fall. I used a 2 1/4" hole saw. It was a bit too big, but worked like a charm. You could definitely use the instructions linked above. I had them printed out, and referred to them for my process. I used the bigger hole saw to open up the back end of the exhaust a little more. Although, that didn't matter in the long run because I put a set of Valkyrie exhaust tips on the exhaust and it covers up the rear of the pipes (obviously). I couldn't be happier with the sound and if you haven't thought about it, I recommend the tips also. It is not a loud "short pipe" exhaust, but you can hear it and be able to enjoy a long ride without getting a headache. Good luck.

I don't wear "T-Shirts" Gomer.... my shirts are dress shirts that actually have a collar and aren't made of cotton.... Surprise Surprise Surprise!! did I get the voice right?
As evolution continues on course your "tribe" will discover other material for clothing besides cotton...... ;)

Heres an update to all the helpful folks here. Sounds nice, reminds me of my buddies 70 mustangs exhaust. After a little JB Weld and some flat black paint cleaning up the exhaust, I gotta say Im pleased. I may try those exhaust tips eventually though....... Thanks guys, Matt
