If you had one other bike....
If you could have one other bike and keep your Nomad what would it be?
And why? I have always felt the Nomad is a good compromise between a cruisder and tourer. For me I would set it up for single jaunts and let the Nomad be the cruiser and weekender and get a new wing to do the cross coutry stuff with. How about you

I would keep the Nomad and buy a 2001 800 Drifter. I have always liked the look of the 800 Drifters.
Oh, wait, I already have one

The Gold Wing ergonomics dont suit me. My choice would be a Yamaha Venture if I could get my gammy leg in a comfortable position.

Thats a tough choice, there are so many other bikes that I like. But if I could have another it may be a Hyabusa or 1400 Ninja so when I have the urge to go fast it would be satisfied.
Once in a while I still like the feeling of something that will accelerate like a bullet. For now I can borrow my brothers BMW for those occasional moments. Overall the Nomad is pretty good for my day to day rides.

It'd have to be the 1600.

My choice for a second bike would be the Triumph Speedmaster, solo setup.

Either an ST1300, FJR1300, or the new BMW K1600GTL. (if some benevolent person were to be kind enough to hand me a blank, pre-signed check to pay for it, that is)

Actually, I just did what you are asking. I just added the Nomad for longer trips, a little more comfort on the highway (even though I still prefer back roads to the slab any day). But I have the Volusia for my everyday ride. I'm in the staging plans right now to make the VOL a bobber, I don't need two bikes with saddle bags and a windshield, I love having the option now of what to ride.

Since this is all hypothetical, mine would probably be a Victory Vision.

If I'm gonna dream I'll dream big$$$$$$. My second Motorcycle would be a Screaming Eagle Road Glide. For some unknown reason the Road Glide catches my eye.
