Prepping the Bike
Started today on gettin' her done for the Redwoods Trip!
changed the engine oil and drive shaft oil with mobile 1 Pulled apart all the electrical connectors and shot it with brake cleaner and then lubed with diaelectric grease. Did the "Speed Bleeder" brake and clutch fluid change. Radiator flushed and fluid was changed at the end of last year so that's ok. Going through tools to make sure I have on the road fix ability wire, crimper, metric tools, flat repair and air. Unless there is a catastrophic failure I'm good to go. 5 weeks from today!!!

Prepping the Bike
Still waiting for a supertrunk from Scootworks. Probably will make the rally with a black trunk. Will have to get it painted in the Fall. Other than maybe changing the oil I'm ready to go.

Brad don't forget to have some electrical tape just in case.
And don't forget your iron.

Prepping the Bike
Unfortunately for me, "prepping the bike" for the rally means buying and installing all those things that I told my wife I wouldn't need because the Nomad "came with everything I would need", for long trips like this..... grasshopper backrest, highway pegs, rear luggage rack, something to make that dang seat more comfy, lightbar and lights, power outlet to plug stuff in, camera mount (maybe?), etc. I guess at some point, I'd better save up for the actual trip out there! Looking forward to meeting all of you.
