Who is going?

I want to create this thread to see who is going and if you like, you can tell us when you are leaving and even the route.

I am leaving Sunday June 14, hopefully before 8 am. I am still up in the air about route. I may go up 169 to 20 and shoot over across that way, or just get on 80, go to 680, then 29 up to 20. I would think the second route is faster. Right now the forecast shows for periods of rain that day. http://www.accuweather.com/us/sd/cus...ler=1&zipchg=1

Who is going?

I am leaving Sat 13th early to make it in one day if at all possible -- for a couple extra days of riding while there. Will be trailering my bike there.

Going I-90 almost the entire way there starting from Roscoe, IL.

I am going to stop in Valentine. Even from here on a bike it's a haul in one day.

Who is going?

We are leaving on Saturday June, heading south to Hwy 20.
We plan on overnight at Valentine or Chadron and then swinging down to Scottsbluff to check out the history. Maybe Chadron again on Sunday night and then 72 miles to Custer.

See y'all in Custer!!!

Who is going?

Leaving next Wednesday, hopefully before the sun. Taking I-90 out. Hoping to make it by lunch. Will be kind of an ironman push but I will stop at Al's Oasis in Chamberlain for breakfast. Got a friend that lives there, he tells me the food is great.

Who is going?

Ponch, Stay off of I80. I made a trip to NE this weekend and Iowa is having construction all the way out. Ya know, miles and miles of single lane and nothing happening on any of it. I brought HWY 20 back all the way back to Dubuque with no problems. Also I have cancelled my Custer plans for numerios reasons. Otherwise I was going to push you all the way out there.

Who is going?

Thanks. I don't get out on 80 west of me much, so I don't know how it is. Was the construction east or west of Des Moines? Push me? You better have a big truck. :)

Who is going?

The bulk of construction was West of Des Moines. As far as pushing you, I would hate to spend the night in Valentine. The time change is 20 miles west of there so you get an extra hour and that can get you to Chadron. Another 40 minutes will get you to Custer. I guess it depends what time you get started to make it. Get in behind a cattle truck about 1/4 mile and you'll make good time and you don't have to worry about one running over you, or peeing on you as they go by. Have a good and safe trip.

Thank God for my windshield. Had that happen last weekend. The girl with us was riding a meanstreak with no shield. She got the full effect.
