Silent Sam update

I just want to send what may be a final message to all my biker friends in the wind. Check my posts. Hope you understand that I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in July of 2014. I have authorized my niece and nephew from Boise, Idaho to update my condition and status as all you good friends on Vulcan Bagger forum would like to know how I am doing. Considering that they have their life and responsibilities, don't expect a lot of time and endeavors spent here trying to update things. It is just enough to let you know what's been happening to me.

I am now in hospice at a skilled nursing facility. I will say in parting that if any of you have not had a CT scan for bladder cancer by the time you are in your late 30's to early 40's you had better get it done. You do not want this happening to you. Under the law, in the state of California, hospice and nursing home care and Veteran's care services will all smilingly lead you in to a trap you can't get out of. I do not recommend doing anything that you don't have a lawyer and a damn good check out before hand. I have been in pain and agony. When they say "pain relief" they are lying to you.

I am in too much discomfort to try to add to this thing. I am calling it quits. My niece is typing this for me now, but I don't want to burden her down with all I could say about this situation. This is the final posting you will hear from me directly. Any future postings under my username will be written by my niece or nephew with my permission, but not dictated by me. Please don't burden them with questions or private emails. Thanks.

I don't expect my life to last more than a few more days.

There are no words that can be said after reading your message Sam, Life is made of two dates separated by a dash, I wish to think you made the best of the dash part. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sam, may your next journey be easier than this one. GOD Bless and you'll be missed, even though a lot of us have never meet.

Sam, for some reason words have always seemed to flow easily through my fingers when I type or write. That's a chore tonight with a sad heart filled with happy memories. I have a mental block like a head ache.

You are so good for a joke and self deprecating humor. I wish I could have met you.

I can rest easily knowing because of the love a dog has or it's owner, the smile on a kids face, beautiful mountains and sunsets, that we're not the result of accidental collisions of subatomic particles in the universe billions of years ago, there is a God up there and you'll join him.

I'm sure gonna miss you, Sam.

Thank you for letting us know about you, Sam, and thank you for all the bouncing joke between us and your PM's.

This is tough buddy. I hope I'm as at ease as you are when my time comes.

If it's possible, Id like to have your real name and birth date for the patch on my vest.

You're a good man Sam.
