Texan Abroad

A rancher from Texas was visiting Great Britain and driving throught the english countryside on a really hot day. He noticed a farmer pumping the handle on a well so he pulled up and asked if he could get a drink and the farmer obliged. The rancher's looking around the place and asks the farmer "how big is your spread here?"
The farmer points to a shed out back and says the land from the road goes over to the shed, across about 200yards to a big tree, and then back up to the road by the mailbox.
The texan chuckles a bit and the farmer asks him whats so funny?
"Well, you see." says the texan "...back in texas my spread is so big that I start my car at 8 o'clock in the morning and I dont get out the end of my driveway 'till half past 9".

The farmer squints and laughs a bit too.."Yeah...I used to own a Jaguar once too".
