Idaho Jack Adapter
I'm probably breaking some rule for this new website but here goes anyway.
My adapters are listed here under the for sale section but it seems that not many new members know about them. I make the Idaho Jack Adapter that pins to the 1500/1600 Vulcan frame and allows you to lift your bike with a standard motorcycle jack. No more wood blocks or hockey pucks. These are made from square tube steel and powdercoated for looks and durability. They come with a safety ribbon, instructions and the pins to attach them to the bike. One of the members on here said "The Idaho Jack Adapter is to Vulcans what sliced bread is to mankind." I sell them on E-bay for $68 but offer them to VBA members here for $60. That includes shipping.

If I could afford a jack, I'd buy your adapter. :) Seriously, I'll have to get a jack sometime this winter for my fairing project. I'll order one of your adapters then. Probably better than the Nomad slipping off the jack stand. :)

I know that anyone with a 1500 or 1600, who do their own maintenance, really needs one of your adapters. I've had one for quiet a while, and it is the best way to lift a Nomad, Classic, or Mean Streak.

For anyone that does there own maintenance, a bike jack and adapter are an absolute neccesity.
Especially when it comes to greasing the swingarm or replacing the steering neck bearings, as well as tire changes. Most times the jack and adapter will pay for themselves the first time you use them. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Bud Smalley's Idaho Jack Adapter changed my life! I was disappointed that I didn't need one to lift my Ultra!

Well I for one would like to see BD loosen up a little.
Idaho, I have to admit when I first got your jack adapter and looked at it I thought "what a ripoff" however I sincerely apologize for that thought. It's worth almost any amount of money as it works great is constructed well and my Nomad sits very securely on it. When I did my major maintenance, new tires, swing arm, neck bearing I had both the front and rear apart at the same time and could not have done it without the jack adapter. So hats off to you for a fine product! |
