Antifreeze leak help!

I have an antifreeze leak that I can't determine where it is coming from :(" title="" border="0"/> It is leaking on the left side and seems to be coming from between the jugs. I had the tank loose and looked at hoses, but didn't see any antifreeze. It is really frustrating!! Anyone else run into this problem?

This is on an 03 1500. Thanks for the help! :)

Antifreeze leak help!

The plumbing is set up a little different on the 1500s compared to the 1600s, but I would say to remove the tank, and double check the tightness of ALL the hose clamps, then get a flashlight, and look at where each hose comes out of each head, look way down in there, there is a "water pipe" coming out of the head, with a hose and a hose clamp attached to it. Sometimes the end of the "water pipe" in the head will leak. It only seals by an o-ring, and is held in place by only one screw. You have one water pipe coming out of each head, and both are in the valley between the heads.

It probably the hose or "pipe" that goes into the cylinder heads located between the cylinders. There is an O ring in there that can start to seep on you. Some heve fixed it by sealing it with silicone seal.

Look for white powder like deposits at all the places mentioned. The books won't fix this one.

How can you find the part number when he hasn't any idea where the leak is?

You got a spare chrystal ball around?

Good one Mac. We all need a crystal ball ever now and then.

Look back at VulcanE's comment. He asked where the o-ring that VulcanE was referring to was located.

Just answering a different question.

Mac I think he was just helping me out with the question I asked vulcan E about the location of the oring that can leak and where it is located. Hopefully it is just a loose hose clamp

Antifreeze leak help!

I finally got some time to pull the tank. I looked all over the hoses in the cylinder and did not find any evidence of leaks. It was then I looked over the fill cap and saw some white powder below it. It seems that the hose was leaking there. I snugged up the hoses and put her all back together. I sure hope the leak has stopped now.

Thanks for everyone's help!! I owe you one!

Oh No! MAS neva' helps anyone ever, not ever,

and Im' liein thru my teeth. He is one of the top 10 tech heads around here, maybe top one, maybe not, hard to say since there is better than 10 heads.

I am pretty sure he didn't get upset a bit... The why is, he knows I am 'certifiable'.

I had a chrystal ball but Murphy friggin' dropped it, and now it's cracked.

MAS, is that brass a part of a precious metals collection, or are they Balls from the Royal Navy?
