Love this photo edited shot of my baby. Like Kris, I've added new pipes, lower bag rails and other small trinkets like fender trims on the front and rear.

That's the kind of Nomad, I like the most for everyday riding. A graceful and streamlined stance. Very beautiful indeed.
When you hit the superslab for extended trips, the looks change to that of SUV-type bike, which is also very cool, e.g. see Voyager, Kris or Rick's Nomad. Quote:

Having seen your Nomad in person, I think your bike is a true Nomad, accessorized for the long haul and your ODO shows it. Very nice photo. E. |

A fairing? A shark nose or batwing? The former is my favorite but the latter looks great on Nomads, too. Have you seen Psychocycle's signature photos lately? http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/x...viewfooter.jpg. When we meet, I will take a photo of our Nomads side-by-side, you know, it's hard to come across a famous Nomad, such as yours . Cheers, E. |

Now that the weather has turned and things are greening up I am looking forward to getting some decent shots of my bike, until then this is my favorite photo shopped pic. Looks kinda retro to me. Added top rails since it was taken, looking at the Cobra rack or a trunk for the next addition.
Kris, what brand of trunk is that you have?

It's an H.D. fairing. I bought it from a member { Strobe} in the fall of last yr. He tossed in the lowers as well. He offered to do the install for me so I said I'd get to his place this spring/summer for that. I'm hoping to get there in early June but this knee thing of mine is screwing up,...or at least casting a few issues on getting there. I'm waiting for an MRI and then who knows what. I'm hoping to get in sooner than later for the MRI and then sneak away for the install before the next step with the knee. This knee thing could be a season ending thing but I'll have to wait and see. here is a photo of the fairing on "strobe's" bike I'm seriously considering the H.D. trunk from him too. Do you know anyone who wants a Venture trunk/rack that's ready to go?? Minus the chrome "Nomad" script. But would include the OEM rack for that trunk.rack

Rick,
That fairing looks very cool, the added wind protection, the instrument panel and the stereo equipment, I think you're gonna love it. Once I rode a Road Glide [and fell in love with it] with the radio on and the speakers cranked up, it was really nice. [I'm still not sure whether or not it was the radio but love the full fairing, Road/Street Glides in particular]. Don't know of anybody who wants a trunk but I'll keep that in mind. Take care of your knee, that's the highest priority now and hope to see you soon. Elvis |
