Does Anyone know if Kawasaki still installs the heat shield kit 55555-0273 on the 09 models that did not come with it ?

I put the part # in a Google search... Woo! It's one of those rare combinations with only one result! And it's not a motorcycle part, unfortunately.

Scott if you are talking about the KAMS kit, that was only on the Voyager. The Nomads and Vaquero were not included. Without the lowers they don't have the same airflow issue so the heat is supposedly not as big of a issue.

this is kit was nomad and classics only and consists of a couple of shields and new exhaust shields with an asbestos pad on the inside . the kit is still available but it started out as a service bulliten for 09 model year only with a letter sent to dealers and owners . cheapest I found is 211.00 but I am gonna call the dealer and see what they say I printed the letter and the dealer forms they are supposed to file . put the part # in ebay search and have a look ! let me know what you think

I do not know if the part number is right, but Kawasaki did my 09 about 2 years ago. It was a recall i believe. Recalls never expire. Its part of the KAMS kit but they do not install the fan.

Its worth the phone call to the dealer. I reached out to the manufacturer.

Do you know if that recall included 2013s?

I would think you could call any Kawasaki Dealer and give them your VIN and they could tell you if there were any outstanding Recalls.

This might help - put in VIN on website - see what you get.
