Rally Ride Leaders.......

Contrary to what some may think ...one of the main reasons why we are holding a Rally in Custer, SD is to ride the roads.

With the help of Joel (Waterman), I have come up with 5 basic ride routes for your riding pleasure at the rally.

They are:

- Badlands Ride - All day ride - about 230 miles total
- Devil's Tower Ride - All day ride - about 250 miles
- Keystone & Mt. Rushmore Ride - 1/2 day ride - about 60 miles
- Iron Mtn & Needles Hwy Ride - 1/2 day ride - about 100 miles
- Custer State Park Wildlife Loop Ride - 1/2 day ride - about 100 miles

I'm currently in the process of mapping these rides on paper as well as GPS. The "All Day" rides will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday. So, that gives everyone a chance to ride each one. The three other 1/2 day rides will be offered on Wednesday afternoon. Plenty of time is figured in on each of the rides for stopping/sight-seeing/picture taking and all safety precautions for each ride will be adhered to.

Keep in mind that noone is "required" to ride each ride or any rides for that matter. These rides are offered only as an option for you to ride at the Rally. A person attending the rally has the option of:
1. Choosing a planned ride on any of the days and attending the ride
2. Choosing only certain planned rides and riding alone part of the time
3. Choosing to ride alone all of the time
4. Choosing to sit in the bar all three days with Blowndodge and not ride at all.

Here is the ride schedule with designated leaders and tailgunners:

Tuesday, June 16th - All Day Rides
a. Devil's Tower Ride - All day ride - Leader=Waterman, Tailgunner=glwilson - Lunch & gas
b. Badlands Ride - All day ride - Leader=Kioti, Tailgunner= 01Nomad - Lunch & gas

Wednesday, June 17th - PM Rides Only
a. Iron Mountain Road and the Needles Highway - Leader=Markg, Tailgunner=01Nomad
b. Custer State Park Wildlife Loop - Leader=Todd, Tailgunner=Kawgirl
c. Keystone and Mt Rushmore - Leader=Trip, Tailgunner=CactusJack

Thursday, June 18th - All Day Rides
a. Badlands Ride - All day ride - Leader=Waterman, Tailgunner=glwilson - Lunch & gas
b. Devil's Tower Ride - All day ride - Leader=Kioti, Tailgunner=01Nomad - Lunch & gas

Thanks,
Trip

Maybe we should have elections. I'm thinking Blowndodge on one end and Cactusjack at the other for at least one of the rides....

Rally Ride Leaders.......

Trip,
I would be glad to lead any of the rides. I could add some local "color" to the Badlands Ride and we would not cover to many miles twice.
I would also be happy to lead on any of the half days rides and I do know the routes and rides quite well.
Believe me there are many great places that everyone should see at least once, like the legendary Longhorn Saloon in beautiful Scenic, SD. Best seen during the Badlands Ride.

Thanks Kioti.......I was hoping you might help me out. Since you are one of what I consider to be the "locals", I have changed a few things around and made you leader for the Badlands Ride on Tuesday and the Devil's Tower ride on Thursday.

You and Waterman will be leading the day long rides, since you guys have done them before. Markg wanted the Needles Hwy ride because he's done that before. I have changed Todd and Kawgirl from the Badlands ride on Tuesday to the Mt. Rushmore ride. I'll put 01Nomad down for a few tailgunner rides.
