Car Question

It's an electromechanic device that opens and closes a door in the heater plenum to mix cold and hot air, or have it just cold or hot. On a Ford, you control with the slider on the heater control. If you don't know what a Ford Windstar is, well... I did preface this post as a car question.

Car Question

I knew what you were talking about. I have done it a couple of times on my GM cars and trucks. If you are working on a Windstar, it must be a few years old. Does Ford still make them? All I can remember of doing that work is the amount of time fighting wires and tight places and the nice words that run through your mind about how easy those things are made to be worked on.

You have to find the right spot on the dash and then hit it real hard when you want to change it

I have no idea why this was moved here, but whoever did it, lacks sense in my book. I guess BD's garage doesn't include cars. May be it should be called BD's sometimes garage.

Car Question

It's a 2003 Windstar. The part isn't terribly expensive, but it is in a tight spot and I am a big guy. I hate working in tight spots and thought may be someone might have a shortcut. My bad I guess.

Ponch, you posted a CAR question in a motorcycle garage forum.
Kawgirl posted a TRUCK question in the general forum.
I can't believe you don't see the difference.

You are correct. BD's garage doesn't include cars. From what I've been able to gather this site is pretty focused on Kawasaki Nomad's, not Ford Winstar's ..I'm guessing there is probably a forum out there for Ford Winstar's that people are posting Kawasaki Nomad questions on, but I'm not betting on it.

A better name wouldn't be BD's sometimes garage but...BD's garage on not how to fix you car. I thought it obvious it was a motorcycle garage. Might have something to do with the "KawaNow and Forever logo, but I could be wrong.

You seem to be focusing on a lot of our backsides lately. I don't feel comfortable with you standing behind us with your hyper active little jimmy staring at us!!

Sometimes it's a garage, sometimes a smokeshop, sometimes BD brothel...sometimes...ooohhh that's just an ugly thought.

Car Question

I posted it to the most logical place I could, a garage forum. I did preface it with it as a car question. I thought I'd ask as there has to be some people here that are more talented than I am at fixing cars and also it is a familiar place. Posting to an unknown forum can have unexpected consequences. I guess I was wrong on that one.
