K&N Filters on a 1700 Nomad?
My local dealer has warned me against putting in a K&N on my 2010 Nomad.
I would like any comments or actual experiences re this matter. I realize he wants to sell me his filters as he is a Kawi only dealer but I also trust him. Thanks,

K&N Filters on a 1700 Nomad?
I'd look at this info:
http://www.knfilters.com/warranty.htm If you keep your bike a long time and ride lots of miles, the K&N will save you money and they work just fine. |

K&N Filters on a 1700 Nomad?
K&N is the way to go and they will NOT void your warranty.
It is against federal law in the United States for a manufacturer to require the use of a specific brand of air or oil filter unless it provides a replacement air or oil filter, free of charge, under the terms of the vehicle warranty. For a more thorough discussion of this law known as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, see our Vehicle Warranty Section of our Air Filter Facts page, and our Letter Regarding Vehicle Warranty and K&N Replacement Filters.

K&N Filters on a 1700 Nomad?
If you plan on keeping the bike for any period of time Id definately go with a K&N filter. It will be the last one you buy for that bike. And they make good quality filters to boot, Im not sure why the dealer would tell you that.

K&N Filters on a 1700 Nomad?
Thanks Steve; that is what everyone says and I think it is a matter of selling me his Kawi filters= which annoys the hell out of me. He has been super and knows he gets all my business including service work.
