Highway Pegs
Hello, I'm looking for some highway pegs (under 80 bucks if possible) for my upcoming long ride.
Any suggestions or things to watch out for? 1" vs 7/8's etc...

You want quality clamps that won't be slipping all the time. A little extra will go a long way with these and save frustration. I'd recommend Kuryakyn longhorn dually's for endless adjustment possibilities.

I got a nice looking (chrome with vibration pads) and functional (tight fitting, 1 1/4", and adjustable with flip up) set from JC Whitney on line for about $45. Hadn't done business with them in about 40 years but was a good experience.

I had the Kury ISO on my last bike and loved them, http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=3235
My Nomad came with Kury switchblades and I love them even morehttp://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=3588 My brother machined two 3" spacers out of chrome rod for the ISO to move them out farther. I actually still have them. I would consider selling the ISO I guess. The have a two piece hinged clamp that would go around the frame or crash bar. If you are interested I can try and mount them to see if they will fit snuggly enough on the crash bar. PM or email me with your address and I can calculate shipping for you. I will try to get some pics tonight of them and post them tomorrow. |

I'm trying to find what the difference between the Longhorns that caddman11 posted (on ebay) and the 7993 that Misunderstood posted. Except for calling one a "Longhorn Mount" and the other an "offset mount" they look pretty much the same in their directions. Am I missing anything?
4575: http://www.kuryakyn.com/documents/in...-21HD-0308.pdf vs. 7993: http://www.kuryakyn.com/documents/in...-21HD-0308.pdf If not, this looks like a good price. As a person with a shorter inseam (29") I definitely need something that would bring the highway peg back to my foot. Thanks for all the info folks! |

I absolutely love the longhorn pegs. They are adjustable at so many spots, that I think it's impossible to not get them to fit!

Longhorn vs offset mount is the only part difference, and the internal lock washer. Both about the same except for appearance I believe.

Got the pegs now I am trying to figure out where and how the best way to put them on is. Haven't done it yet.
