Just caught it on the news that rioting and looting has started in the business area of Baltimore. They said that all of the gangs have called a temporary truce so that they can work together against the police.

They should call in the National Guard and put a stop to this now.

And how does this help whatever cause they have? Goons looking to be goons.

A lot of stores looted all in the name of justice.

The Maryland State Police asked for 5000 people from east coast police departments to come in and help. The governor also called out the National Guard who have 5000 people to deploy.

I politely disagree. The should remove all law enforcement and give them a taste of what they seem to desire. Let's see how well they like a completely un policed society, since they hate to police so much.

Can't do it in Baltimore. To many Federal buildings there. Most of the Federal Government runs from the Baltimore area.

The Mayor of Baltimore is out to lunch. This is comment she made earlier.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake held a press conference Saturday alongside community and religious leaders and asked for peace as hundreds marched in Baltimore in honor of Freddie Gray.
But when one reporter asked to comment on how Baltimore police responded to the protestors she said she instructed officers to allow protestors to express themselves and that “we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well.”

Funny. At 25 seconds of the second part of the video it shows her original comments. I'm sure the Governor is a having a field day with that.

She'll probably get charged with assault and battery on a child.

They said under any other circumstances that would happen. The officials are praising her and telling other parents to take control of their kids.

BPD ought to let rioters burn the place to the ground, (federal buildings guarded by FBI and marshals), and when the whole place is a smoking ruin, tell them, "This is what you wanted, now you got it."
On the other hand, BPD has a long history of civil rights violations, same as most large metropolitan PDs. They all like to think, and have been trained that way, that they're soldiers, an occupying force where everyone is a guerilla fighter looking to take them out.

That's easy to say. Baltimore is a diverse city that takes up 81 square miles and has more than a half million people living there. A lot of the buildings being burned and looted are in row houses that have small mom and pop type stores that the owners live in the building. Most of those owners carry the minimal amount of insurance that they need to occupy the building and run the business. They put their hard earned money in to the business trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. If you allow the city to burn down who sticks up for those people that have everything in their property?

So how does looting, burning down buildings beating cops fix the problem? The only thing it does IMO is make the people doing all that crap look like thugs looking for a excuse to go wild!
