Mayweather V's Pacquiao

I have'nt seen the fight yet,but from what i have read it seem's like a bit of an anti climax.Manny did'nt get the promised painkiller injection for his injured shoulder, that obviously affected his performance, and Mayweather only came to dance, what's your opinion.

There will always be people that think the puncher should have won over the boxer. Ali/Ken Norton or Ali/Frasier are good examples. Most people would have given Ali losses in most of those fights because he clinched and danced away and because the other guys shots were so hard and they kept advancing.

Marvin Hagler won his fight with Sugar Ray but it was awarded to Sugar Ray and Hagler ended up quitting boxing.

I know the ones that lost in last nights fight are the fans that paid for pay per view and then didn't get the fight.

Loafer You are welcome mate. I agree with Hwyrider on the Sugar ray/Hagler fight,i know the art of boxing is to avoid getting hit as well as clattering the other bloke, but it wrankle's with me when they wont stand and fight. The biggest winner in the fight yesterday is Bob Arum, and he did'nt get hit once,he will stage a rematch just like he staged this one,the outcome will probably be a win for Manny, leading to a 3rd fight,as you bloke's say, follow the money !

I must have watched a different Hagler/Leonard fight. The one I watched was won by Leonard.

Not IMHO.

I still remember watching it with about 10 buddies. I was the only one rooting for Sugar Ray. Fun night.

How can a person take a title when they are constantly warned by the ref for holding and running away from their opponent the entire fight. And we won't even mention the low blows from Leonard. Richard Steele should have been kicked out of boxing after that match.

Hagler was a great fighter and Leonard was a great boxer in their days. Leonard needed a big pay day and got it. Fights are fixed. It's part of the business.

I think the other big winner was the UFC!

I watched the first few rounds and then had to turn it off (Too Slow). I kept yelling at the screen for someone to throw a inside leg kick and then I remembered that it was just boxing.
If you want to watch the fight and other fights you can go here

The women in the UFC put on more exciting matches!

Same here. I remember it being a close fight and that Leonard pulled it out.

Of course I might have had bias, I was a big Sugar Ray Leonard fan since the 76 Olympics.
