Possible fuel pump whine

Put some octane booster in my tank today and went for a ride. After a while I heard a whining noise that was never present before. When I put my ear close to the speedo I hear it more and it sounds loud. Any suggestions? I also put some low octane gas back in the tank as maybe the octane rating was too high, don't know.

put 1.5 - 2 ounces of MMO in the next few tanks og gas, that should lub the pump and quiet it down.

MMO=Marvel Mystery Oil

I'll get some and try it tomorrow, some lubricity in the pump makes sense, thanks for the tip.

Any other suggestions

Did I screw up the bearings adding the octane booster? If so will running Mystery oil thru at each fill up fix it or just hopefully eliminate the loud whine.
