I think I did 1700 miles. I still have to clean the bike up though, it's a mess.

Great time in Custer (didn't get around to meeting you, though, Ponch). I got home at 3:00 pm today. Dumped it over in the mud 10 miles from home (at very slow speed). Nothing hurt or broken.

Made it back 12 noon CST June 20th. Had an absolutely great time. Custer and the Black Hills lived up to its reputation.

It was great to meet as many of our regional members as possible.

Didn't connect with Dougster or Kioti; but finally met Ponch. Was a pleasure to finally get to do so Ponch.

Met up with BnG & Donna; Rayski; Roadman & Deb; Denny & Sally, and OP from our region -- all great people and good fun!!

Our regional next year should be fun.

Nor Waterman, Rickie, Wayne or Rosco. It was a strange synchronicity of events, but it was as if we all looked at each other at the same time and said lets leave.

Check in For who is back home

It was a very odd twist of events for me as well. My wife got sick wednesday on the drive out, she was following me in the car. I parked the bike and drove her and the car to the motel. By that time the group ride was gone. Thursday we headed up toward SPearfish Canyon to try and catch Netnorske and his small group but got rained out before we caught them. Then Jen got sick again so I dropped her in Deadwood and rode back to Custer to get the car and drove back up to Deadwood to pick her up. Made it to the banquet for the last 10 minutes and the group photo. I think I read that Kioti missed the dinner because they got back too late from the Devil's Tower ride. Sad that I only got to meet glwilson from our region and missed the rest but it was great to finally meet you Greg. So I was there. Missed all the rides and the meal, but I am in the photo so I guess that counts.

Oh yeah, update...
Jen didn't like the idea of driving home alone in case she got sick again so I rented a trailer and hauled the bike home, boo hoo. But made it home last night about 7pm after a very long day and about 8.5 hours in the car. Her new expedition pulls a trailer pretty nice. Glad we bought it.

Yep it was close to 7:00 PM when we got back, it didn't help that I had 2 of my rider's decide to do the walk around Devil's Tower even after I instructed them that there wasn't time. So I cut the route short and ran right into heavy weather.
Then we tried tp dodge the rain all the way to Sudance and had to suit up before Spearfish. It was a real frog strangler all the way to Deadwood. We stopped to re-form our group and haul a** for Custer but some of my rider's could not keep up so as typical in a group ride the slowest rider sets the pace.

Yep! It was like trying to heard cats. . . .the 2 problem rider's anyway. Must be A.D.D
