Amazon sweepstakes pop-ups

Anyone else getting these damn Amazon sweepstakes pop-ups today? Never had this issue before. I only use iPhone and iPad to access the site. No issues with any other site.

Yes, they are terrible. The first time I tried this post it popped up and of course I was locked out and had to start over.

Usually that's an indication that your computer is loaded with adware. That's nasty little programs which kinda control your computer and place ads whenever it can. You can control this by going to:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

They have a free version and and a pro version which keeps your computer in top shape as far as bad crap. Pick which one you want and download. Run the program and you will be absolutely amazed at what it cleans up. I have known this company for over twenty years and they are a very safe company.
Second, go to:

https://adblockplus.org/

and download the right version for your browser to block unwanted ads on all internet sites. Have used them for 4 years now.

Should take care of the problems you are all having

I use adblock plus and it works great. But before I used it on this site, I paid for a premium membership. It is coming up on 2 years since I joined and I plan to make a donation to the forum soon. A one time initiation fee is not going to keep this forum going.

Running a forum isn't free. I have seen other motorcycle forums go down the drain because they were not willing to use ad servers and too few people donated.

I hate ad servers, but I also want this and other forums that I use to survive, so I contribute to the operating costs in other ways.

As noted, I don’t use a computer. I use my iPhone or iPad. I don’t even own a computer anymore. This is the only forum I have had the issue with and it started a few days ago. Apple products don’t tend to suffer from this adware crap computers suffer from. I double checked all my settings on my phone and cleared everything out anyway, still happening. It is crippling because I have to keep reloading and reloading and reloading the pages here and has honestly made me stay away since it started. From what other people are saying, I would say this site has been compromised somehow if I’m not the only one with the issue. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Sorry I couldn't be any help to you BonVoyager, but hopefully my answer can help others on here who do still use computers. Supre antispyware does make an app for the phones but I really don't know if they work for the apples or not.
I can only speculate your problem. I haven't had any problems with this site ever and I only use a computer (windows ) to access it. I haven't experienced those kinds of things for years now on any of my computers.

You guys apples are probably spoiled, or have a worm. Maybe you need to get fresh ones.

It's probably not the forum, it's an ad server that is allowing these ads to run on their server.

No POP-UPS/ADs here. The forum is running clean for me. BonVoy, can you use/borrow/access this forum from a DIFFERENT computer/device/system? On the ANDROID, FireFox has been added in addition to the default CHROME. Can you add a browser other than SAFARI to your Apple? If so, could you give that a try?
