Track App
Hey All......... Is there an app or something that I can use to track my over the road movements in real time? I'm going on a trip and want my friends N family to see where I am at any given time. There are a lot of free apps out there, just don't know which one will give me the best option for tracking.
Any help is appreciated.

"Find my friends" on I phone works good, I used to track my wife when she was driving home from working in the city (70 mile trip).

Theres google maps, people can follow you on that....., Glympse (what I use) is good also, family and friends can see you realtime and see your speed, direction....they follow you like a dot on the map, plus its Zoomable....
There are several other quality smart phone apps....

My Canadian friend, one who I rode to the Arctic Circle with last year, is riding to Tierra del Fuego. He is presently in Cartagena, Columbia and is using a system called inReach. It sends out emails to those on distribution list and when we link to it it shows his present location. One can password protect it if desired.
The other guy who has used a different GPS tracer. I just called him and left a voice mail to find out which one it is. I believe the device costs about $100 which includes a year of service. There is a monthly charge after that. It works quite well. I tracked him all the way to Panama. I'll let you know which one it is when he gets back to me. It's a Spot Messenger. There is a good review at the below link. http://andrewskurka.com/2015/spot-ge...iew-long-term/

I use a app called Follow Me I installed it on my phone and my wife was able to log into a web site and see where I was on a map. You can set it up as to how often it posts information and the hours of operation. Easy to use and worked well for me when I went on my 2 week trip last summer.

I use 'Real-time GPS Tracker 2' for exactly what you describe. Been using it for years and it works flawlessly. It's for Android. One thing I always tell everyone that is tracking me is that it only works if I remember to turn it on, and I have a data connection. So don't freak out if I am not moving.
