Installing kuryakin hypercharger
Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience in fitting the hypercharger I just bought? The instructions indicate that I must remove the air duct that runs between the two housings. That sucker is wedged in between the two barrels and is not coming out of there without the removal of the entire intake manifold. Am I interpreting this correctly, or does it just get left in place? Can someone enlighten me?

You need to cut it into two pieces to get it out.

Fitting the hypercharger isn't hard, other than getting that damn plastic duct outta the way. Its best to get a rope saw, your favorite stool or bucket, and some refreshments, your gonna be there a little while. Really, its not hard, just time consuming.
Once thats outta the way, the hypercharger goes on effortlessly. I started out really liking the hypercharger, I figured I could actually get some performance increase over the Chucksters air cleaner. NOT. But it does look awesome. I have the thunder adapter for mine, the hypercharger, and the scoop that replaces the round cover. Looks really good, if anyones interested.

Thanks for the feedback. Shame it has to be cut - Just handy to know that it does actually need to come out. I wasn't 100% sure as the instructions are a little on the vague side...

The Hypercharger looks great but it doesn't do anything. Chucksters is the best air flow you'll ever get on a Nomad/Vaquero/Voyager.

I used a dremel tool with a small cutting disc cutting from the inside to remove my tunnel. It was easy.
After about a year I decided to remove the Hyper Charger and go to an oval caddman style filter housing. The existing hypercharger intake adapter plate gives you the option to change filter boxes using a little ingenuity.

Okay. Thanks for all the info. I have ended up in the end with one small vacuum hose which it says fits to a nipple on my bike. I can see no such fitting of this sort. The picture looks as if it's showing the area under the fuel tank around the throttle body but I can't find it..anyone?
