Springs here, winter's here, spring's here, winter
You get the idea. Been a long winter, not terribly harsh by Idaho standards. Pretty mild actually as evidenced by the fact that I have been able to ride the Nomad every month this winter and the fact that we only have about 50% of our normal snowpack in the mountains. Winter never really got wound up to full strength and with the advent of spring we have had a few very nice days here.
Typically old man winter has tried to hang on and we have had a few surprise snow storms. One last Friday night dropped a bunch of snow and kept me from riding the bike to a monthly breakfast meeting with the local Blue Knights chapter. Snowpack in the mountains went up to 60%. It tried to rain/snow all week long with a crummy forecast for this weekend again. Nice day yesterday morning although it was cold (17 when I left home to go to work). Clouds rolled in all day long and by 8 pm last night it started to snow. Wind ripped around the house all night and this morning winter is back. LOTS of snow, drifts everywhere, the world is white and cold and there does not seem to be any end in sight. I'm going to need to fire up my snowblowers today to clean out the drive! For those so inclined it won't be hard to hide Easter Eggs. Just drop one and it may not be found for a week. So, can someone tell me again? When does Spring get here?

We went right into summer here within a week or so, yesterday it got up to 80 here and today looks like more of the same. I was going to do some yardwork but a freind just called and said lets go riding. So we will!

Same type of weather here in Montreal as ring has out his way.
We are way early on the nice weather and breaking temperature records. Rode yesterday most of the day and plan on it again for today. Lots of bikes out, Guess you'll just have to come north to experience spring.

Thin line of rain about to pass through from the NW with a cold front behind it. Cool I should say. Nice weather behind it. Have a great Easter.

Used both snowblowers this morning along with my grain shovel and cleaned out a lot of snow from the driveway and off of the back deck. Thats winter.
Later today the sun came out. All of the snow is now gone from the driveway and the roads. I actually rode the Nomad down into town a couple of hours ago. This is Spring.

Springs here, winter's here, spring's here, winter
87 degrees at 7:30 PM here in Del Rio, TX...I just got back from a 250 mile ride to Sonora and back down through Bracketville...Started out at 48 degrees this morning at 7 am and it was 80 by Noon. I don't mean to rub it in Idaho, but this is exactly why I moved as far south as I can and still have a decent job. I absolutely HATE cold weather...

Rained here this morning but cleared off in the afternoon. I did get in a ride of 42 miles today. Rode 118 yesterday and 65 the day before. Tomorrow should be another nice day.
Bud, sorry to hear of the late snow you are having but again you do live in Idaho. Those things happen in the west all the time if I remember correctly from when I lived in Colorado.

We lucked out missing the winter storm here, but south of us in Bismarck yesterday they got 6 inches of very heavy, wet snow. It snapped power poles like toothpicks and lots of people were without power. We didn't any moisture whatsoever, but I know we're not out of the woods yet. April is usually a very unpredictable month here.
