Hi everyone
My name is Craig Pickard (paperboy)
I am from Melbourne Australia I have had my 1700 nomad for 12 mths and done 9000 kms enjoying every bit of it.
I am 49 yrs old and married with a 14yr old daughter.I ride everyday only about 40kms.
The occasional longer trip when time allows.
The only thing I would like to change is the mufflers so as to be heard on the road.So i am happy to hear any advice on this topic.
I dont want it to loud but a bit meatier than it is.

Greetings from Idaho, USA. Just doing a quick search this was all I found. Right now, I think the exhaust market for the 1700's is slim. I'm sure some has done a stock exhaust mod if you look around. I have Cobra's on my 1500. All of the Cobra's I have hear in a dual system have a fairly mellow sound and I would call them a "touring" pipe. You know they are there, but your not going to set off car alarms. I think Vance and Hines always sound the best and I read a blog while searching that said they are coming out with a slip-on for the 1700, but no head pipe. I have never had a problem with slip-ons so I'm sure they'll be fine. You may just want to hold out till January. Again, welcome to the forum.
